A Constitutional Amendment Requiring One and Only One Subject per Bill As it stands, Congress passes omnibus spending bills, for example. Senators and Representatives both add all kinds of pork and earmarks to these bills. This makes it nearly impossible to determine how incumbents vote on important issues. This is both undisciplined and irresponsible, and it needs to end. There might be exceptions for items such as the military or transportation - the actual responsibilities of the Federal government. But spending on all other items must be voted for in one bill, one subject format. Congress needs to pass a Constitutional amendment requiring exactly one subject per bill. We, the people, will push back until they do Expected date of
