A Long-term Solution to the Fiscal Disaster of "Entitlements" Depending on which data you believe, Congress has forced obligations of anywhere between $50 trillion and $75 trillion. This is at least $50,000,000,000,000 - 50 million million dollars. There is no one on earth who can truly fathom how much money that is. And this will continue to get worse if Congress does not act soon. For Social Security, we will push back until: Employers no longer are required to pay social security for their employees. Why should they have to save for someone else?
For Medicare, we will push back until it is phased out over the next ten years. Government should not be involved in health care unless it is for employees or military personnel. We, the people, will push back until they do.
