With the huge victory in Massachusetts on January 18, we have to maintain the pressure!

Fellow Americans!  Time is short!  It is left to "We, the People," to
PUSH BACK UNTIL!

Fellow Americans,

We have arrived at a point in the storied history of the United States of America where uncontrolled and irresponsible spending by Congress demands that “we, the people” no longer trust them with the future of our great nation. Therefore, "we, the people," must join together, determined to push back until our Senators and Representatives introduce and pass Constitutional amendments or bills that institute laws and controls that give our country back to “we, the people."  We will push for these changes one at a time until our country's future has been secured.  The first change will be a Constitutional amendment that caps Federal spending at 10% of our cumulative adjusted gross incomes (why?).  After this change has been made, we will push back until the other issues are resolved (complete list).

So how do we convince Congress that they must pass these mandates into law?  Before we get to that, we must first recognize some of the things that, by themselves, have not worked:

bulletVoting
bulletAttending tea parties
bulletWriting books
bulletReading books
bulletEmailing, faxing, visiting, calling, or writing to our Senators and Representative
bulletCalling and/or listening to conservative talk radio shows
bulletBlogging
bulletWriting letters to the editors of newspapers and magazines
bulletVenting, ranting, or raving to family, friends, radio hosts, or TV hosts
bulletGoing to Town Hall meetings
bulletJoining internet groups to discuss the issues of the day
bulletSubscribing to regular emails from various and sundry interest groups

These are all good and are all part of the solution.  Each piece is necessary for what needs to happen. But they will only work if they complement and culminate in long-term, nondestructive, friendly (but insistent), civil disobedience in Washington D.C. and other capitols and major cities throughout the country.  This civil disobedience will need to be ongoing if we are going to get the point across that we will no longer allow an inept, incompetent, and irresponsible Congress to drive us into bankruptcy.  It will take commitment, time, money, and guts.  Are we up to it?  YES!

What else can you do?

bulletPublicize this website and its mandates to local and national talk radio audiences, family, friends, blogs, email contacts, and so forth.
bulletWhen you go to TEA parties, hand out slips of paper or business cards with "PushBackUntil.com" on them.  This is a grassroots effort, so it is up to you to publicize it far and wide.
bulletSend your U.S. and State Senators and your U.S. and State Representatives a letter (example: Word or pdf format) or an email with information from this website.  They need to know we are serious about getting our country back on the right track - in spite of them.  Ask them to propose an amendment to the Constitution that will limit spending.  (Keep in mind that a Constitutional amendment can be started either in Congress or at the State level.  We need to use both approaches.)
bulletCall, fax, mail, and email your U.S. and State Senators and U.S. and State Representatives to relay to them information from this website.
bulletMake an appointment with your U.S. and State Senators and U.S. and State Representatives to meet with them to discuss these mandates face to face. And if  you cannot go to D.C., visit their local offices to respectfully tell them that we are not going to take it anymore.
bulletOrganize local events to protest the size and irresponsibility of government at all levels.
bulletAbove all, "Be in D.C.," your state capitol, or the nearest big city for as many PBU-endorsed events as possible.  We cannot and will not back down.

Watch We The People Stimulus Package if you need additional inspiration.

After we have amended the Constitution to control spending, we will begin to work on the other issues.
